Bahubali two gives business lessons too!!

Bahubali two gives us business lessons too !!

When the whole nation was more interested in knowing the answer to the question “ Why did Kattappa kill Bahubali?? “ and wanted to watch the movie just to enlighten themselves on that one particular point; I, being an entrepreneur by blood, was watching it from a different perspective. And by the end of the movie, I realised that it had a lot to teach from an entrepreneur’s point of view. This picture gave some nice leadership lessons as well which are as under.

  1. Be an updated leader– A good team leader always keep himself skilfully updated and is always aware of his surroundings which includes his subordinates and customers. Leader is the one who gives appropriate directions, leads his team members with skill and communicate with and motivate them when need be. Bahubali did the same when his kingdom was attacked by Pinjaris.
  2. Always be modest and humble- A team leader is one who possesses the characteristics of modesty and humbleness. He treats his superiors and subordinates with equal respect which brings the leader closer to his people. He maintains his calm in tough and trying situations and not lose his cool. When Bahubali was declared commander-in-chief instead of the king, he accepted and welcomed this decision with full reverence.
  3. Think different- Having an out of the box approach and not maintaining the status-quo is what makes a leader different from others. Bahubali attacked his enemy at unguarded places gives an example of his wit and intelligence.
  4. Always plan your strategies- A competent leader should have foresight approach to forecast future opportunities and threats and make plans accordingly in the best interests of his team and company. During attack at Kuntala, Bahubali gauged the situation and planned the attack accordingly through oxen, which was a great approach towards facing a danger.
  5. Know your consumer and their problems- Before the coronation, Bahubali visited his kingdom to experience the day to day sufferings and problems of his people. In the same manner, an empathetic leader must get himself acquainted with the customer’s needs and problems for the right decision making.
  6. Communicate properly- Communication barrier is very unhealthy for any relation. Communication can either make or break the relationships. An efficient leader must bridges all the communication gaps between him and his team mates. As an example of communication gap, Sivagami and Bahubali developed misunderstandings which was harmful for their rule.
  7. Think before you commit- Many a times, a leader makes some unrealistic and unreasonable promises just to maintain their reputation. This could be injurious to the company as a whole because if promises remain unfulfilled, company’s reputation will also be tainted. Therefore it’s always better to think before making any commitments so that the decision made must not be repented later. Just like, Sivagami made an inappropriate proposal of marriage of Devasena with Bhallaladeva without giving it any thought.

The above lessons if followed in business will surely give some benefits.
